Sign-in and password

How to sign in to Shiftio and set your password.

First sign-in

When you first get access to Shiftio, you receive an email with a link to set your password.

Set your password

  1. Open the email - Click the link in the email
  2. Enter a password - Choose a strong password (at least 8 characters)
  3. Confirm - Enter the password again
  4. Save - Click Save
  5. Sign in - You are redirected to the sign-in page

Password requirements

  • At least 8 characters
  • Should be hard to guess
  • Validated automatically by the system

Sign-in

Normal sign-in

  1. Open the sign-in page - Go to the Shiftio sign-in page
  2. Enter email - Your email address
  3. Enter password - Your password
  4. Sign in - Click Sign in

After a successful sign-in you are taken to Shifts.

Forgot password

If you forgot your password:

  1. Click “Forgot password?” - On the sign-in page
  2. Enter email - Your email address
  3. Send email - Click the send button
  4. Check email - You receive a reset link (if the address exists in the system)
  5. Set a new password - Follow the instructions in the email

Note: No error is shown whether or not the email exists - this protects your privacy.

Change password

You can change your password at any time:

  1. Open account - Click your profile image (bottom left)
  2. Choose Account - From the menu
  3. Enter new password - Type your new password
  4. Confirm - Enter it again
  5. Save - Click Save

You see a confirmation when the change succeeds.

Sign out

  1. Open profile menu - Click your profile image (bottom left)
  2. Choose Sign out
  3. Redirect - You are taken to the sign-in page

After sign-out you must sign in again to use Shiftio.

Common issues

“Too many requests” (rate limit)

If you try to sign in or use “Forgot password” too often in a short time, the system may respond with “Too many requests” to prevent abuse.

What to do:

  • Wait briefly - Try again after about a minute
  • Avoid rapid retries - Space out sign-in or reset attempts

If the message persists, contact your administrator.

Password not working

  • Use the correct email address
  • Check Caps Lock
  • Try resetting your password

Email not received

  • Check spam
  • Confirm the email address is correct
  • Wait a few minutes and retry
  • Contact your administrator
  • Password setup links are valid for 12 hours
  • Request a new link if it expired
  • Ask your administrator for a new link if needed

Security tips

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Never share your password
  • Change it regularly
  • Sign out when finished, especially on shared computers
