Sign-in and password¶

How to get into Shiftio and set your password.

Set your password¶

The first time you get access - after signup, or when someone invites you - you receive an email with a link to set your password. The link is valid for 12 hours.

1. Open the link in the email
2. Enter and confirm your password on the Shiftio sign-in page (hosted login)
3. Click Save - you are then taken to the app sign-in page

Password requirements: at least 8 characters, with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.

After signing up as an admin you may also get a welcome email from Shiftio. The one you need to sign in is the password email with the setup link.

Sign in¶

1. Open the app sign-in page (app.shiftio.at/login)
2. Enter your email
3. Click Sign in / Continue
4. On the next page (the hosted Shiftio login), enter your password and click Sign in
5. You land in Shifts

Note: You enter your password on the hosted sign-in page, not on the first email step in the app.

Forgot your password¶

1. Continue with your email as above to reach the hosted sign-in page
2. Choose "Forgot password?"
3. Enter your email and follow the instructions in the message you receive

For privacy reasons, the page does not tell you whether the address exists in the system.

Change your password and sign out¶

Problems¶

"Too many requests" - Wait about a minute and avoid clicking several times in a row.

No email arrives - Check the spam or junk folder, confirm the email address, and give it a few minutes.

Link expired - Request a new one ("Forgot password", or ask your admin).

Password is rejected - Check the requirements above (uppercase, lowercase, number, at least 8 characters), and check Caps Lock.

If the problem persists, contact your admin or hallo@shiftio.at.

Keeping your account safe¶

Use a long password that you do not use anywhere else, and do not share it. Sign out when you are finished on a shared computer.
